TOKYO DISNEY RESORT TOY STORY HOTEL
Staying at the Disney Resort hotels nearby is super clutch. One benefit is Disney Resort Hotel guests have “HAPPY ENTRY” where you can enter the park 15 minutes prior to opening. Please refer to the website to know what hotels will offer entry for which park. Despite being Disney hotel, not all hotels will offer Happy Entry to both parks.
Disney hotels are extremely convenient and at times can be inexpensive depending on the season and booking date. The Toy Story Hotel is extremely sought out as the decor inside the hotel and rooms are super attentive. Each nook and cranny is Toy Story’d out and is so charming with every find. The hotel has a gift shop with exclusive Toy Story Hotel merch, a convenience store, and the LOTSO GARDEN CAFE which is a buffet available for breakfast/lunch and dinner! Check the video below for a hotel tour!

LOTSO GARDEN CAFE
EAT LIKE LOTSO
Offering buffet service at breakfast and dinner, this restaurant draws its inspiration from Lotso from Toy Story 3. Offering a plethora of different foods, you can dine during breakfast or dinner. Breakfast hours are from 6:30-10:30 and dinner hours are 17:00-21:00. Price for breakfast is $24 USD while dinner is $33 USD. Again, you must have hotel reservations to enter hotel grounds.
MIRACOSTA HOTEL TOKYO DISNEYSEA
BEAUTIFUL BUT EXPENSIVE AF
As I mentioned, staying at a Disney resort is great because of convenience. But the greatest thing about the MIRACOSTA HOTEL specifically is that it sits inside DisneySea. That means it’s literally steps away vs taking a train in at Maihama Station or walking across the hotel to get to the theme park like the TOKYO DISNEYLAND HOTEL. Keep in mind that this hotel specifically does come with a high price tag. When I booked, the price was about $550 USD. Even if I stayed for one night, that is still quite expensive. Please check out the video below for a room tour!
RESORT GATEWAY STATION
TRAVELING AT DISNEY MADE EASY
If you’re curious about how to get around from park to hotel, no worries! Tokyo Disney has you covered! Hotels like TOKYO BAY MAIHAMA HOTEL, GRAND NIKKO TOKYO BAY, TOKYO DISNEY RESORT TOY STORY HOTEL, SHERATON GRANDE TOKYO BAY HOTEL, HOTEL OKURA TOKYO BAY, TOKYO DISNEYLAND HOTEL can all have access to the monorail as its a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Tokyo Disneyland Hotel is right across from Tokyo Disneyland so you won’t need to take the monorail. Miracosta as mentioned is built into DisneySea so you’ll only need it to get to Tokyo Disneyland.
You can also utilize the monorail if you are trying to go to Ikspiari. Ikspiari is essentially a Downtown Disney. You’ve got shops, restaurants and more to explore. There isn’t many great restaurants to be honest but at least you’ll have some options. Below is a map of how the station works between parks and hotels.

purchasing disney ticket
Keep in mind when purchasing Disney tickets through their website that it may not work. For some odd reason, certain companies will not accept foreign cards. Whether it’s a Visa, AMEX or Mastercard, it will be denied. In this can, you can purchase your tickets via Klook or Trip.com. You’ll receive a confirmation/receipt and ticket via email. Use the Tokyo Disney app to scan your ticket so it’s saved into the app for Fast Passes. Below is the Klook website to purchase Disneyland and DisneySea tickets.

the rides are 10/10 at tokyo disney
fast passes are clutch
Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea is a must! Be sure to have 2 days for the parks, one for each park. You need to download the Tokyo Disneyland app as the app will hold your entry ticket, Fast Passes plus give you info on wait time for each ride. Doing both parks in one day is virtually impossible.
There are two different versions of Fastpass: PREMIER ACCESS which is a one time fee PER ride usually for extremely popular rides and 40TH ANNIVERSARY PASS which is free and for other rides. Both are available until sold out with Premiere Access selling out QUICK! Both parks are VERY different so depends on what you want to see/do!
I suggest purchasing a Premier Access pass as it’s only about $10 USD a ride but better than waiting 100+ minutes. I believe you can only purchase this pass once for the day for whichever ride you pick. 40th Anniversary Pass can be redeemed every 2 hours or until you use the pass.

WONDERING WHERE TO EAT?
The food at the park is fairly inexpensive especially comparing it to the parks in the States. I don’t have suggestions for restaurants as most foods I ate were fast casual/grab and go. I will suggest to not miss the Gyoza Bun, Shrimp Bun or even the Shrimp Katsu OR Fried Chicken Mickey Glove Bao!
